The Dialer is available in the United States and Canada.
Setup Instructions
To use the Breeder Alert Telephone Dialer, you will need to have good cell service as the device will connect to cell carrier provider nearest you. No internet, landline or sim card needed.
The Breeder Alert Dialer is a plug-and-play device. Once the dialer has been un-packaged, please follow these steps to prepare for use:
- Attach the antenna to the back of the Dialer
- Plug the power supply into the back of the Dialer
- Plug the power supply into the wall
After the power supply has been plugged in, lights on the front of the Dialer should turn on. To understand the meaning of the lights, please see Operating Instructions.
Operating Instructions
There are no actions required by the user to operate the Dialer once it is plugged in. The Dialer has 3 lights on the front face:
- Power ( Green ) – Indicates that the Dialer unit is attached to a good power supply.
- Network ( Blue ) – Indicates that the Dialer unit has a good connection to the cell network. If Blue light does not light up, try moving to a window where you can receive better cell service. If you don’t have cell service, Dialer will not work. Please call us to troubleshoot.
- Alert ( Red ) – Indicates that the Dialer unit is currently receiving an alert from a Transmitter. You will then receive a phone call from the Dialer.
Programming Instructions
There is no programming required by the user to setup the Dialer.
In order to input the phone numbers for the Dialer to call, you will need to contact Breeder Alert Foaling Monitor via phone (541 582-2101) or email (Janet.Allsman@breederalert.com) and provide phone number/s desired. We will program before shipping to you. We will need your name, Dialer Serial Number (11 digit number found on outside of Dialer) and your Breeder Alert System Serial Number (starts with the letter Q).
We will register the phone number/s for you. You can input up to 3 phone numbers. If you ever need to change or update them, please let us know and we will reprogram for you.
When a call from Dialer is answered, you will hear “Breeder Alert! Breeder Alert! Breeder Alert!”. Press 1 to acknowledge the call, the calling will then stop for that number. Or, press 2 to forward call to next number if you have input more than one number.
If call goes to voicemail, the Dialer has voicemail detection and will automatically hang up and dial next number. The Dialer will call each number twice before giving up if not answered or acknowledged..
During Foaling Season be sure to keep your phone nearby so you don’t miss an alert.
